May 21, 2011 from 9:00 until noon the Clemson Extension Service will present a class on constructing your own rain barrel.

The 2011 Hazardous Household Waste Collection Day
continues to Expand and Grow

This is a primere Spartanburg County 'green' activity. Jim Weeks (MGAP) has organized the volunteeers activites since the inception in 2009 and it has expanded in scope of "green" support as well as participation by Spartanburg County citizens.
this year included a lawn mower exchange as welll as sale of rainbarrels and composters.

Earn Volunteer Hours at the Spartanburg Farmers Marker
Starting May 15, 2011


Guided by experienced gardeners, MGAP volunteers provide answers, handouts, and valuable information to local

gardeners.
The schedule for volunteers starts on May 14th and continues every other Saturday:
