in the heart of the campus features
an amphitheater a meandering creek, and lighted walkways.
The pine, oak, and magnolia canopy
shelter forest floor specimans such as
rhododendron and dogwoods.

Milliken & Company

In 1969, Milliken initiated a program
that has transformed much of the
650 acre headquarters into
a horticulture testing ground for
identifying, cultivating, and sharing
information about noble trees

Spartanburg CC

This arboretum, maintained and developed by the Horticulture Department
and the SCC Foundation. features a
variety of niche gardens including
the George and Sissy Stone International Peace Garden,
the Sallie Barre James Plant Zoo,and
a medicinal plant garden

Wofford

Inspired in part by the work of
Richard Florida and encompassing a
National Historic District
the Wofford Arboretum is a green
oasis in the heart of the city
with several walking trails,
on 150 acres.

Hatcher Garden & Preserve

The Hatcher mission is to be a place
for public inspiration, enjoyment, and education.
New features include
the Robert Lawerence Odem
Hosta Friendship Garden
and the butterfly garden.
